What to Pack for June
- Waterproof jacket and trousers — rain is as likely as sunshine any given day
- Warm mid-layer — evenings on exposed coasts get cold even in June
- Hat and light gloves for highland and coastal hiking
- Sturdy, waterproof hiking boots (trail shoes are often not enough for F-road terrain)
- Eye mask or blackout sleep mask — essential if you’re a light sleeper
- Sunscreen — UV is stronger than most visitors expect; glacier reflection amplifies it
